Rafiki Rwanda Village- Day 2

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep for hours...so ended up with about 5 hrs of sleep, which isn't too bad considering jet lag.

Off to my first full day in the village.

Here's our daily schedule:
Awake- 6am
Devotionals- 7:30 (leave10 min early to walk down)
Clean Teeth- 8am-12pm
Lunch- 12:00-1pm
Clean teeth- 1pm-5pm
Dinner 5:30 (got there at 5:20 to help)
Cottage time- 6ish to 7ish
7ish to bedtime- free time

Lunch and Dinner with Marie's family was wonderful!

We cleaned 12 people's teeth today-- 10 were kiddos and 2 adults.  We also visited 2 classrooms to give demonstrations on proper brushing techniques.  I think I'm going to dream about "brushing in circles"!!
Centia was our first person to clean and tonight in her cottage she prayed "God, please help us brush in circles and not squares".  So cute!

Level 2 class practicing "circles"

Tonight in Mama Marie's cottage I was asked to lead the devotionals, so I chose Jesus feeding the 5,000and also Jesus walking on water.  The kiddos listened in rapt attention--no one moved or made a sound!  Then the kids sang some songs and ended the evening with another time of sweet prayer.

Back at our cottage, I got to skype with Jeff, Rebecca, Herman & the boys.  Then I skyped with Mom (she didn't have a camera so just voices).  What a hoot!  Yay God for Skype!

It's hard to find time to journal, let alone type it into the blog.  Will have to wait to type it after I get home!
